James D. Joye, DO, FACC

As the Founder of Golden State Heart & Vascular, Dr. Joye is proud to have built a practice that embodies his philosophy of personal, community-based, cutting-edge care.

Firas Ajam, MD

Dr. Firas Ajam is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist who recently relocated to Monterey and is proud to join the team at Golden State Heart & Vascular.

Max Bourdillion, MD

Dr. Bourdillon is an interventional cardiologist trained in structural heart and peripheral arterial interventions. He joins Golden State Heart & Vascular, having completed non-invasive and interventional cardiology at UT Houston in the world’s largest medical center.

Ajanta De, MD, FACC

Dr. De is an interventional cardiologist with advanced training in structural and peripheral vascular disease. She is a seasoned specialist in the treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease, valvular heart disease, acute/critical limb ischemia/ limb salvage, and stroke prevention.

Steven J. Fowler, MD, FACC

As an electrophysiologist, Dr. Fowler specializes in the treatment of arrhythmias and has performed over 10,000 procedures within the past 15 years. In addition to being a member of the Golden State Heart & Vascular team, he serves as the Medical Director of Community Hospital’s Electrophysiology Laboratory.

Colm J. Murphy, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Murphy has been a subspecialist in interventional cardiology and echocardiography since 2013. He comes to Golden State Heart & Vascular Sutter Memorial Hospital and Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, CA.

Allon Rafael, MD

Dr. Rafael is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist (cardiac arrhythmia specialist). He is trained in advanced catheter ablation techniques and the implantation of cardiac devices.

Nima Patel, PA-C, RVS, CWS

Our Physician Assistant, Nima Patel, is involved in every aspect of patient care, from new patient examinations to assisting in the operating room, to managing postoperative follow-ups.

Melinda Stevens, COO

Our Chief Operating Officer Melinda Stevens’ expertise encompasses all areas of practice management, from marketing, financial management and operational efficiency to leadership and governance, human resource and patient communication.

Kamron Allen, PA-C

Kamron completed her training as a Physician Assistant at Loma Linda University and has a background in transplant surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Angela Lovelace, MS, RN, NP-C

With over 30 years of nursing experience, Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.

Jason Lowe, PA-C

Jason Lowe is a Physician Assistant whose professional focus is preventive and interventional care for cardiovascular and vascular diseases.
