SALINAS – Dr. Jim Joye, Salinas Valley Health interventional cardiologist, came up with an idea about 20 years ago that he and another physician are now the first in the nation to use to bring relief to those suffering from a painful affliction.
Joye envisioned an innovative approach to treat complex peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with a non-invasive technique and specialized stent to bypass a blocked femoral artery and restore blood flow to the leg.
